Maggie Griffin-Smith has worked professionally as a singer for over 20 years. She first started as a blues singer, inspired by her late father. And with her mother being a pianist, guitarist, and dabbler in violin and saxophone, Maggie was essentially fated to make music herself. She received a BFA in Musical Theatre from Montclair State University, graduating magna cum laude. Since then, she’s performed in NYC, Las Vegas, Pigeon Forge, Phoenix, and across NY, PA and NJ. She even celebrated/worked New Year’s Eve 2022 in Times Square, culminating in a performance of Firework overlooking the crowd at 12:10 AM on January 1, 2023. Other favorite credits include: My Fair Lady (Eliza Doolittle), Bonnie & Clyde (Bonnie), The Spitfire Grill (Percy), Cinderella (Cinderella), Into the Woods (Baker’s Wife), Phantom Of the Opera (Christine), and Godspell (Day By Day). Maggie also coaches, directs, and choreographs for individual performers and theaters. She lives in Philadelphia with her daughter Fiona, and hopes to be the kind of parent who, like her own, inspires her to embrace her passion and monetize her talent. Carpe diem!

Dan & Becky Gaffney: A Love Letter to Delaware

The Gaffneys are one of Delaware’s most dynamic duos, balancing decades careers with the joys and beautiful chaos of raising a large family. They are married with eight children.

By day, Dan Gaffney is Delaware’s most recognizable voice in morning radio—the no-filter host of the long-running Delaware 105.9 FM morning show, where he’s been waking up the First State with news, controversy, and unapologetic opinion for over two decades.

By night, however, Gaffney trades the microphone for the stage as one of the mid-Atlantic’s most baffling mentalists. Combining rapid-fire psychological mind reading, audience interaction, and a dash of that same radio bravado, his live show leaves crowds laughing, gasping, and questioning what they thought was possible.

Dan is also an accomplished stage actor, with credits including Brigadoon, Miracle on 34th Street, Moliere’s Imaginary Invalid, and Bye Bye Birdie.

Becky Gaffney: Designer, Performer, and Voice on the Air, and recognizable face at Dickens as our Managing Director.

Becky Gaffney, a Delaware native, is a versatile artist whose career has spanned theatre on stage as well as behind the scenes. For decades, she was deeply involved in local theatre, leaving an enduring mark on the regional arts scene.

Since 2005, her creative expertise has extended to costuming for ballet companies and producing custom costumes for artists all over the country, ensuring productions maintain their visual elegance. Becky also shares her insights as a featured voice on the nationally syndicated Walter Sterling Show.

Beyond her professional accomplishments, Becky’s greatest role is “Just Being Mom” to their eight children, each carving their own unique path in the arts and community—including a stand-up comic, a professional ballerina , and a musician composing and recording original works and the rest of the crew just discovering the paths they may take on their way into adulthood.

Keith Purnell is a mainstay of the Dellmarva comedy community, who works all over the mid-Atlantic area.

If you are a comedy fan in Delaware you are likely a fan of Keith. If you’re from out of town, you might remember seeing him on Last Comic Standing, or have heard him on Sirius, or you have even enjoyed one of his many headlining appearances at the Milton Theater.
